The Three Graces at Topshop for LFW (the video)

21 Feb

I’m working through the majority of fashion week this year, and yesterday gave two presentations in store at Topshop on Oxford Street about the SS11 make-up trends and how to achieve them with the fabulous Topshop make-up range. In between talks a brilliant make-up artist recreated the looks on shoppers, and I chatted to the girls about make-up, skincare and working in magazines. Susie Lau of Style Bubble had given a talk on blogging from the front row the day before, and today Melanie Rickey, Fashion Editor At Large (Grazia) is chatting to David Koma – all to bring a piece of LFW to the Topshop shoppers.

Anyway, while there I met a gorgeous girl, Emilia Brown, who at just 14 has a really cool style blog already – www.emiliabrown.blogspot.com 14 year olds are NOT what they once were – I was a mess at 14. Also present were the Make Lemonade girls who were whizzing from show to show via Topshop. They’ve vlogged the event (the bit in between talks where we chatted to the girls and the aforementioned Emilia Brown got a mini-makeover) so you can see the set-up and mood boards. My blackberry shots are horrible, so have a look at the video:

Luckily the chap reading his book in the front row had left by this point. If you can get to Topshop today they have that great Melanie Rickey talk going on, but also the LFW pod has iPad-style hardware so you can see shows live-streaming, check out fashion and beauty podcasts and chat to the experts there about both SS11 and AW11 trends.  Now, back to trend-spotting I go…
