David Koma for Topshop

4 Feb

Before Cheryl Cole wore a couple of David’s dresses on X-Factor, the fashion world was buzzing with his name – the hottest ticket of the off-schedule designers at LFW, his work is a bit sexy-Leger with a dash of industrial, sculptural detailing a la Rifat Ozbek. Cheryl was splashed all over the tabloids when she wore his black mini-dress with the vinyl-esque busty-bits, and so his name became more widely known. Well now David’s brand is reaching a new set of shoppers through a small collection of pieces for Topshop. With LBDs from £300 it’s luxe enough to maintain David’s high standards of quality, apparently. They’re undoubtedly sexy, but with enough punky, metal trim to keep it from looking trashy. HOT.

I like a bit of punk influence now and then!
I think that Topshop have been doing some fabulous collaborations with designers in the last few years. They always seem to have their finger on the pulse.
