The Damned & The Beautiful #7

15 Oct
The best pieces money can buy aren’t part of the fly-by-night seasonal trends. The are timeless classics. And they’re damned beautiful.
(c) Net a Porter

The only nod to the over-saturated trend of the shearling aviator I would be prepared to make is with this timeless Isabel Marant shearling and suede Zied biker jacket (£2000, www.net-a-porter.com)

FIERCE shades (£117, www.ninaandlola.com)

(c) Kabiri

Simple, subtle and undeniably chic – jewellery that doesn’t date. Jennifer Meyer ring (£94, www.kabiri.co.uk)

(c) Net a Porter

Oh my. Charlotte Olympia’s Minerva shoes in laser-cut suede (£820, www.net-a-porter.com)

LBD? Try BBB – Big Black Bag. Goes with everything, carries everything (£474 www.AngelJackson.com)

WOW. For Christmas, Selfridges have a special edition of Chanel No 5 – a magnum if you will. Known as Les Grands Pure Parfum, the bottles are priced from £800 to £3000. THAT’s a Christmas present worth writing for.

(c) Harvey Nichols

Mariage Frères Earl Grey French Blue Tea Bags £11.95 www.harveynichols.com

(c) Liberty

Where would one be without a Hermes scarf? Well about £400 better off for a start. But not if you go to Liberty – Hermes for Liberty includes this little gem called Eloise – albeit in cotton – for just £65 (www.liberty.co.uk)

I do love the shades and just a quick question…could anyone use all of magnum bottle (No 5)before it went off or does perfume not have a time limit like most beauty products?

Good point! Perfume does usually have a longer shelf-life than say a mascara, since it’s alcohol based and doesn’t transfer bacteria to sensitive areas like your eyes. But you would need to keep it somewhere dark and cool. It’s more of a novelty I think – someone who can afford that much on perfume is probably not too worried!
